I started my career in Real Estate in 2002.   I became a licensed agent in 2003 and have sold to date more than $14,000,000 worth of real estate.  I have represented clients in purchasing mobile homes to multi-million dollar new construction beach homes.  I know Santa Barbara.   I have lived here since1984 when I came as a newlywed to this area from the Midwest.  My business degree is in Marketing from Northern Illinois University where I graduated from the School of Business.  I came to Santa Barbara with a briefcase in my hand and plenty of suits to wear to my first corporate job.  I was ready to start my career in the marketing field.  I had to beg for my first job with a software developer where I earned less than when I worked part time in Illinois and putting myself through College.  The suit was not required in our Santa Barbara casual work environments.  Good employement is not that easy to find here but if you already have a job, are being transferred or interviewing for a position consider yourself very lucky.  You will have to make some sacrifices to have the quality of life you desire but most of these can be very short lived as you adjust to new responsibilities and rewards.

I advocated for home ownership assistance and programs to address our housing shortage and it's effect on our ability to recruit and retain the best employee for the job.  I did this through my previous career in Human Resources primarily with several of our well known local banks, Montecito Bank & Trust and Santa Barbara Bank& Trust.  I also was the President of a local business organization call the Santa Barbara Business Alliance where I facilitated presentations on this topic to our members.  I have been in leadership positions and I have taught others to be effective leaders in their own lives through various coaching methods.  I am also a Certified Life Coach. 

I have two children.  Alex who is 12 and Jonathon who is 16.  I have been married for 23 years to my husband Paul.  Currently we are very involved in baseball related activities.  My son Alexander has played on the all star team for Goleta Valley Little League for the past three years and Jonathon plays baseball for Dos Pueblos High School.  Both are pitchers and play in-field positions.
